In 2012  a really large chocolate Easter Egg was built in Argentina. It weighed over 4 tons and took twenty seven bakeries two weeks to make enough chocolate. It stood 27 ft high and 16 ft wide.

According to Guiness. "The largest Easter egg hunt consisted of 501,000 eggs that were searched for by 9,753 children accompanied by their parents at the Cypress Gardens Adventure Park in Winter Haven, Florida, on 1 April 2007."

Here is some of what is going in Calgary Easter 2015

The Calgary Zoo is doing the Easter Eggstravaganza April 3 and April 4.  The event is included with admission. There will be face painting, sweet treats, bunny races, fun crafts and "more".  Find out more about this at www.calgaryzoo.com

Butterfield Acres Great Legendary Easter Hunt  April 3-4  (requires pre-purchased tickets)
do some chores for the easter bunny and some planting and lots of animals

Calaway Park is hosting a "National Service Dog Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs" on April 3rd.

Marlborough Mall has Easter Petting Zoo April 2 to April 4,  then an Easter Egg Hunt on April 4.  Also on the 4th you can get a Free Photo with the Easter Bunny.  Find out more at www.marlboroughmall.com

Heritage Park Easter Sunday Brunch  includes egg decorating.  Their website  www.heritagepark.ca says the event is "sold out".

Telus Spark , the New Science Centre  has Spring Sparktacular running April 3 & 4th.  Spring themed activities including, making seed paper, building the town of Bunnybotville and the classic egg drop challenge.  Find out more at www.sparkscience.ca

Calgary Farmers Market on April 3rd  offers cookie decorating with Momstown. On Saturday April 4th they are featuring  photos with the Easter Bunny and colouring craft with Pedalheads.

Southland Leisure Centre is running a Family Easter Crafts and Cookies session  on Thursday April 2nd.

Some events sites are listing an event at Fort Calgary but we have not been able to confirm it from their site.

Also many of the ski hills west of us will have Easter specials and activities going on.
