Sunday July 9, 2006 was the 42nd Annual Calgary Marathon.

The events included the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 10K Marathon, the 4 x10K Challenge and the Kids Marathon. 

We were there to take some pictures and for some of our family to actually particpate.

At the right is the Starter's Line for the 10K run. The starter used a shotgun instead of an airhorn to begin the race.

Some of the dancers from Dance with France entertained the audience, but the Tank was a big draw too.

One note about this event, is the parking was difficult to find and expensive. At two different Imperial Parking lots that I checked the meter would only accept $10 in payment even though it was  a Sunday and the stated rate is $2.00.
