Winter is a long season in Calgary.  By adding a variety of trees and shrubs the winter landscape can be beautiful. Choose plants with attractive forms, colorful bark, persistant fruit or evergreen.  Herbaceous perennials with seedheads and stalks can be left in the garden until spring for added winter interest.
