Forget the shopping mall in Balzac, Calgary Select has the exclusive story on the revamped plans for the mega development north of Calgary.Calgary Select has learned that mega mall developer Prevaricate LLC has been taken over by the Disney North Corporation. Apparently once the water issues were sorted out to make way for the huge mall development, Disney North caught wind of the massive development and decided to purchase the developer in a private transaction.
According to Disney North spokesman Angus Reid, " We were absolutely amazed by the success of West Edmonton Mall, and so when this opportunity came up we couldn't resist the idea of building Disney North as the next generation theme park. Instead of the mega mall, people all over Canada will now have their own theme park done in the Disney way".
