Here is the sad truth of things. The North American economy is in the greatest danger ever with fear ruling the day. Now our boys & girls in Ottawa are pointing fingers at each other talking the good talk, about who has vision, who has a plan. Truth is none of them do, they are waiting to see what miracle Obama can pull out of his hat. So what do people do when they are in this waiting game? Well they play these power games, posturing so to speak.
The sad truth is Canada will have to wait and see what happens south of the border. The sad truth is that these power games in Ottawa will create a bad situation for Canada that ensures we enjoy the pain of severe recession or worse. The sad truth is that all of this could have been avoided with a leader that had the support of the country and was "brilliant" in navigating the economic waters.
The sad truth is that a lot of people thought it was an incredibly smart idea to have a government that lacked a clear majority (something about keeping them honest).
Finally the saddest truth is that a minority government is often ineffective and gosh a coaliton will be ten times less effective. My advice, stock up on dry goods, hard times are on their way!
