Alberta government studies the idea of changing the date of Christmas.

An ancient (purportedly) Chinese curse, "may you live in interesting times", well we seem to have that. What comes after a royalty review, the answer is FRONT LICENSE PLATES.

It seems the Alberta Government is not getting "our fair share" of photo radar and various other forms of ticketing which would all be made possible by the return of the front license plate.

front plate would look really lousyYes it would help the police but really, not having a front plate is a small price to pay for keeping my Mercedes- Benz looking really cool. A front plate looks really lousy on a Lamborghini.

Anyways they are taking a survey on this at www.licenseplate.alberta.ca.

What ever happened to civil liberties?

Why can't I smoke on an outside patio?

Why does everything cost more?

Why is the government determined to ruin our recently stellar economy?

Why do they want to change the date of Christmas?

Sounds like another money grab by the government and the car dealerships, all cars in the last few years have no place to mount a front plate!!! what will I have to pay to be issued a matching plate and to have my suv converted to be able to accept a front plate. I say no....Have to go fill out the survey.

Great post!!!!

Right on, Wolf. Disturbing the the graceful lines of a beautiful car with a gastly tin plate is indeed a crime of it's own. But why would a front plate be considered? You will always eventually see the rear of a moving car.

However, this may compensate for the money the new royalty tax draws from the economy as one million car owners desperatly search to acquire a license plate bracket.....

Seems the Stelmach Government is trying to see just how much they can tick off the conservative vote. Keep it up and we'll soon see Liberals in power!! Ed .. stop trying to find ways to spend MY money!!

Trust the government to have to go back and 'fix' a previous good decision. It saved money in producing half the plates... but of course, now they see more money in fines than the savings... as usual, it is all about money... ours... and how to get it in their pockets.
